Review (by Malcolm Storey) | An introductory guide to macro-moths (not withstanding the title). In the main text, a selection of 80 representative species are each given two facing pages with description and photographs of adults, ova, larvae and pupae, and notes on distribution, habitat, life cycle and food plant and a diagram illustrating phenology. There are 26 identification plates of photographs of set specimens at the back of the book. These look very similar to those in Skinner (and are again the work of David Wilson) but close examination reveals them to be of different specimens! |
Examine | in the Hand ( with x8 or x10 hand lens is also useful) |
