Review (by Malcolm Storey) | A handy little guide which will fit in the pocket when out walking. Covers the majority of tree species you’re likely to find outside specialist collections (when they should have labels!) The three keys at the front cover conifers, broadleaves and winter twigs. The species entries are mostly half-page with a short description, and also manage to cram in pictures of foliage, flowers, seeds/cones, bark and/or outline, as needed to identify the species. The little hints next to the pictures are very useful. |
