Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Rhodocollybia butyracea var asema and Paxillus involutus fruit at slightly different times under different host trees. Of course the differences could be a secondary affect of differing microclimate caused by the particular tree cover or its water uptake, rather than a response to the tree itself, but this still provides the potential for allochronous speciation. |
