Review (by Malcolm Storey)

The two principal modern aphid monographs combined into a web-site.

Includes a key to polyphagous aphids, and separate host lists and keys to the aphis associated with each plant genus. The keys use the usual abbreviations for aphid body parts which makes then somewhat intimidating to the beginner.

The site is dedicated to Victor Eastop who died in 2012.

Specimen PreparationSlide mounted cleared specimens for measuring etc.
Identification difficultyCareful specimen prep is required. Aphid identification makes use of comparative measurements of the hard parts in prepared slides. Not for the faint hearted or casual researcher.
