Review (by Malcolm Storey)

Splits Dysdera erythrina into 20 species, 16 of them new.

Dysdera erythrina is the only one recorded from Britain or northern Europe, so the others are unlikely in our area.

Errata, Corrigenda & CommentsBeware that 10 of the epigynes are drawn and 9 are photographed: you need to consider both the photomicrographs and the drawings.
Examine Stereo Microscope ( Compound Microscope is also useful)
Specimen PreparationEpigyne dissection required. (Easiest way is to remove abdomen, cut along the dorsal surface, open out and remove the loose tissues, then clean up by removing semi-transparent remnants, against a dark background under the stereo microscope.)
