TitleComparing and contrasting development and reproductive strategies in the pupal hyperparasitoids Lysibia nana and Gelis agilis (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae)

Review (by Malcolm Storey)Both species attack the prepupae of Cotesia glomerata but differ in their biology. Lysibia nana is adapted for rapid infection of a large number of host larvae, whereas Gelis agilis produces its eggs over a longer time period, perhaps because being wingless it takes longer to find hosts.
