Review (by Malcolm Storey) | Introductory chapters cover Structure, Reproduction, Ecology, Distribution, Collection and Preservation. Although one chapter title includes "Preparation", this is not actually described (the previous edition does include this). There is a dichotomous key to adults, followed by species descriptions which each start with a drawing of the whole animal, followed by decriptions of structure and distribution, drawings of taxonomic features and a 10KM distribution map. |
Examine | Stereo Microscope ( Compound Microscope is also useful) |
Specimen Preparation | Minimum handling as significant bristles are easily lost |
