Notes:

Terrestrial, on damp ground on heathland.

Top layer of filaments strongly purple-pigmented, lower layers green.

Narrow filaments mostly have paired pyrenoids, whereas they are usually single in the broader filaments. Perhaps the cells of the narrow filaments are actively dividing.
