Notes:
20 or 30 fruitbodies, in 1’s and 2’s, scattered over several square metres on wet heathy mud in sparsely mossy Juncus/grass turf beside seepage.
Montia fontana ssp minor and the moss Climacium dendroides nearby.
Caps: 11mm high by 8mm wide.
Fruitbodies up to 35mm tall.
Stipe base rooting or not, singly or in pairs growing close together but from distinct bases.
Stipe diam: 2mm tapering to 1.5mm
Cap with filamentous hyphae over a layer of spherocysts.
Spores: (13.5)15-16/8-9.5µm, with epispore.
Basidia: 4-spored.
Spherocysts: with acid-resistant warts.
Spore print (good and thick) absolutely black.
