Notes:

Cap mottled "clay pink" and "vinaceous buff", zoned, centre darker, midway between "brown vinaceous" and "vinaceous buff" with "buff" patches, 50% peeling, margin drawing away to reveal gills, very shortly pectinate, dry, matt.

Stipe: white, hard, stuffed, Fe+ orange.

Gills: crowded, forking near stipe, C becoming "cinnamon" or "fulvous" where damaged, brittle, mild tasting.

Spore print: white

Spores: 7/5.5-6µm, with numerous warts and fine connectives, maybe the odd mesh.

DCy: abundant, cylindric, weakly clavate, weakly staining in sulphovanilin, non-septate, 42/4µm.
