Notes:

Smell: weakly dungy.

Stipe: dark floccose scaley towards apex, with yellow tinge (largely lost in photos) except in a few individuals which were growing intermixed with the rest.

Spores: globose, 5-6µm diam to subglobose, 6/5µm.

Basidia: 4-spored, but with a lot of 2- and 3-spored basidia on the gill edge.

Gills: thick, blunt edged.

Gill edge: fertile in parts.

Scalp (centre) cellular, with broadly clavate cells ≤45µm diam, but cells thin-walled and soon collapsing.
