Notes:

Cap: superficially woolly tomentose

Stipe: superficially woolly tomentose, apex pruinose.

Smell: none intact, musty on cutting.

No blue when young

Spores: Brazil nut shaped, 8-10/5-6µm

Crystal-tipped metuloids abundant on gill face and edge.

Cystidia: narrowly fusiform, crystal-tipped, 65/13µm, walls 3µm thick, some slightly yellow in NH4OH.

Despite the rather dissimilar spores, this appears to be the same as 28 Sept 04[A] which was growing nearby.
