Notes:

27 May: Eggs, like small pale corn cobs, on young flower buds.

1 June: Dark head visible through egg-shell when near hatching.

1 June: 1st instar larva sparsely hairy, anal claspers evident but other prolegs hardly developed, body translucent pale dirty yellow, thorax slightly darker, head capsule transparent pale sepia with black eye-patches, dark brown sutures, mouthparts rusty.
