Notes:
Reddish brown, yellow-bordered spot with black pycnia on upper surface of leaf; bearing hypophyllous, pale brown, cylindrical aecia below; peridium only shortly lacerate.
Aeciospores: pale yellow, subspherical, thick-walled (2-3µm), verruculose under oil immersion, 23-25/21µm.
Peridial cells: hyaline, with transversely elongated warts and ridges.
