Notes:
Uredia: pale rusty-brown, pustular, hypophyllous, covering the base of the leaf and often extending over half the leaf on heavily infected leaves.
Uredoparaphyses: <92/<12µm, hyaline, capitate, wall 2-4(6)µm at apex.
Telia: pale brown, pustular, hypophyllous.
Teliospores: 2-celled, narrow, thin-walled and pale brown under microscope, with extremely long pedicels (like a string), germinating, often with long beaks; some chestnut brown, thicker-walled spores also present.
