Notes:

A remarkable group of albino Gymnopilus junonius.

Taste: bitter, just like the normal form. When squashed between fingers, the moisture left behind also tastes bitter so at least part of the bitterness is water soluble.

Spore print: none, but numerous spores left on gill.

Cheilocystidia: hyaline, lageniform and capitate.

Cap cuticle: hyaline, filamentous, clamped, 25-60µm diam.

Basidia: 4-spored, but not shedding spores. Spores: hyaline, citriform, with many small oil droplets, up to 8-9/4-4.5µm.
