Notes:

Quite a tough toadstool. The clumps each grow from a common swollen rootstock.

Gill: decurrent in young fruitbodies; edge: eroded, saw-toothed. Ring not evident.

Smell: rank mealy, sour.

Spore print: white, non-amyloid.

Spores: narrowly ellipsoid, hyaline.

Growing healthily after three weeks of very hot dry weather with almost no rain. Quickly gave a generous spore print.
