Notes:

Cap: convex, scaley, dark apricot, almost scarlet; rim paler, orange to saffron, ageing buff; scales concentric, buff tips turning brown.

Stipe: greasy, fibrillose, dark apricot at top, through apricot orange to saffron at base.

Gills: slightly decurrent or not, orange at base.

Cap flesh: scarlet.

Smell: none.
