Growing on blackened stroma on inner surface of cupule.
Ascus pore strongly blued in Melzer’s Iodine.
Ascospores biseriate, often regularly so; arcuate, 17-19/4-5µm, becoming septate and budding off spherical conidia.
Paraphyses cylindric, tapered, 3µm at tip, with red-brown contents.
