Notes:
Margin of young apothecium with scurfy lines of thin-walled hyphae that are darker than their neighbours, but no proper hairs. Older apothecia still have these structures but they’re hidden amongst algae.
Paraphyses: narrowly clavate, with orange contents which turn green in Melzer’s iodine.
Asci: 8-spored, cylindric, tip not staining in Melzer’s Iodine.
Ascospores: ellipsoid, smooth, biguttulate, 17-19/9µm.
