Notes:
Small, pale and black leaf spots 1.5mm diam to 3x5mm, on leaves of Aegopodium podagraria.
Upper side of leaf with small, pale yellow, sunken, polygonal, often elongated, spots limited by veins, and largely stained by black fungal material. Occasional hyaline spore tendrils erupting from embedded pale-brown pycnidia with black ostiole and occasional effete black pycnidium erupting through the leaf epidermis. .
Underside of leaf with whitish spots containing black superficial immature pseudothecia, often concentrated in a ring just inside the edge of the spot.
Immature pseudothecia: hypophyllous, black, quite tough. Contents amorphous - not conidia.
Conidia: narrowly cylindric, curved, centrally 1-septate, 61-75/2.5µm.
