Notes:
Ascocarps 3-4.5mm diam, globular, with slightly raised pimples containing ostioles.
Occasional ostioles with friable mass of ascospores. Under the microscope, the spores in these masses seem to be damaged.
Ascospores 13-14/6µm, 8 per ascus.
Asci: 90/8.5µm, plus stalk c. 50µm.
Ascus tip blued in iodine, actually a ring which shows as two right-angle triangles with their hypotenuses outwards and below.
