Notes:
Silver-grey to pale brown leaf-spots; often several together in a group, limited by midrib and major veins; round or elliptical except where distorted by neighbours or vein; 1.5-4mm along longest diameter; on Elder leaves.
Leaf-spot upper surface: silver grey to pale brown, with narrow dark brown border, punctate with dark brown clusters of conidiophores emerging through the stomata
Leaf-spot lower surface: dark brown from massed clusters of conidiophores, sunken.
Conidiophores: densely fasciculate, pale greyish brown above, rusty brown in densely crowded base, non-septate, cylindric, non-septate, sinuous near apex, with conidium scars at apex and on bends of sinuosities below.
Conidia: very pale greyish; very narrowly obclavate; arcuate or sinuate; 5-9 septate; 65-120/5µm.
