Notes:

Ascospores: ellipsoid, with 1 (occasionally2 ) large oil drops, smooth, becoming wrinkled in Melzer’s Iodine (x40), 20-22.5(25)/13-15µm.

Asci: 8-spored, some with dextrinoid contents in base below spores, no apical staining.

Paraphyses: hyaline, narrowly cylindric, expanding slightly to apex to subspathulate (up to 6µm).

Apothecial Hairs: brown, thick-walled, triangular to blunt, up to 2-septate below. base swollen to 25µm, not rooting.
