Notes:

Causing dark grey, damp, necrotic blotches which progress from the leaf margin, filling the space between two leaf veins, and dying and drying out behind. The spots have deep grey diffuse borders. Conidiophores mainly hypophyllous, on the newest part of the blotch.

Conidia: cylindric, 0-1(-2)-septate, with well-marked hilar scars, catenate, sometimes branching from terminal cell or occasionally from lower cell, 14-41/3-5µm.
