Notes:
Causes black spots with grey or white centre spots with surrounding black area. The black spots are often surrounded by a yellow (chlorotic) or black (necrotic) patch. The infection often runs along the margin of the leaf (may be following the rain flow.)
Pycnidia: epiphyllous, immersed, black, tip just protruding, issuing a whitish spore tendril. One or two pycnidia on white central spot and more on the surrounding black area.
Conidia: cylindric, often slightly sinuous, pointed at one end, 21-31/2µm, up to 3 septate.
