Notes:
Infected leaves yellowish, snail-eaten.
Leaf-spots on yellowed fading leaves and on living green ones, limited by primary veins; spots grey above, weakly concentrically zonate, with dark brown margin which, on yellowed fading leaves, is surrounded by a brown halo; under surface brown, unzoned, sometimes slightly darker at the margin; eventually dropping out to leave a shot-hole.
Pycnidia: epiphyllous, tiny, black, erupting through cracking epidermis, abundant on some of the larger spots on the fading leaves, sometimes dropping out; pycnidia on green leaves are mainly pale and immature.
Conidia: 5/2µm. Three Septoria-type spores also seen.
