Notes:

Mature leaves: 3.5-10cm/5cm wide, veins 6-7, sparsely greenish woolly tomentose below, with very sparse repent cobwebby hairs above.

Young leaves: densely hairy above and below; a beautiful pale russet below.

Inflorescence with >20 flowers with erect pinkish petals (but they were rather faded so perhaps not reliable.)

Revisited 12 Sept 10 for ripe fruits.

Fruits: bright red, shiny, c. 10mm diam.

27 Feb 11

The few remaining berries measured 6-9mm diam.

Deciduous.
