Notes:

Round or oblong, thick, black, shiny, wrinkled, 7-20mm diam., 1.25mm thick, stromata with yellow halo; epiphyllous, on living leaves. In section the stroma is white and solid with a thick black crust. No loculi nor conidia found.

Specimens kept overwinter to try to obtain apothecia but no success.
