Notes:
Leaf spots: mostly inconspicuous and pale yellowish above, a few are dark brown and fill single areolae; showing pale brownish speckles on the underside where it fills a single areola or several together, with a single white curved tendril of spores extruding from the centre. Spore tendril sometimes capitate.
Conidioma hypophyllous.
Conidia: hyaline, narrowly cylindrical, 30-42/2-3µm; 3-septate with apical cell slightly longer, often curved, tapered; basal cell broadest; slightly constricted at septa.
There are apparently two Phloeospora on Acer pseudoplanus: Phloeospora pseudoplatani Bubak and the Phloeospora state of Mycosphaerella latebrosa. I can find no information on P. pseudoplatani so can’t decide between the two.
