Notes:

Apothecia up to 20mm diam., convolute.

Asci: 8-spored, contents slightly dextrinoid but apical apparatus not staining, 250-275/13-18µm.

Paraphyses: narrow, cylindric, branched at base and sparsely above, with granular orange pigment, curved to one side at tip, 2µm wide lower down expanding to 3µm at the tip.

Ascospores: smooth, hyaline, globose, filled with large cluster of droplets, 14-16µm diam., often forming a de Bary bubble when transferred to Melzer’s iodine.
