Notes:
Apothecia buff, turning reddish as they dry, with bright yellow marginal hairs.
Marginal hairs with yellow crystals which dissolve and disappear in dilute KOH and Melzer’s Iodine. Excipulum yellowish, turning brown in KOH and Melzer’s Iodine.
Ascospores: hyaline, multiseriate, 24-39/2-2.5µm, septate.
