Notes:
Apothecia: smooth, in tight linear clusters and often distorted, hymenium with loose granular matter strongly staining dark brown to black in Melzer’s Iodine.
Flesh: brownish (dark honey coloured)
Asci: 8-spored, I-, 100-120µm long.
Paraphyses: hyaline, narrow, cylindric, once or twice forked, apices strongly swollen.
Ascospores: hyaline, smooth, without oil-drops, 21-27/8-11µm, elliptic to fusiform, slightly curved, mostly aseptate in ascus, but becoming up to 3 septate.
