Rossi, W. & Máca, J. | 2006 | Notes on the Laboulbeniales (Ascomycetes) from the Czech Republic | Sydowia, Annales Mycologici Ser. II 58(1): 110-124. |
Stigmatomyces entomophilus (a fly laboulbeniomycete) may also be included in identification literature listed under the following higher taxa:
NBN (data.nbn.org.uk) has a distribution map for Stigmatomyces entomophilus (a fly laboulbeniomycete) |
BioInfo (www.bioinfo.org.uk) has 2 host/parasite/foodplant and/or other relationships for Stigmatomyces entomophilus (a fly laboulbeniomycete) |
The UK record is based on a single old record from the Isle of Wight, apparently on Drosophila funebris (Diptera, Drosophilidae) but the material no longer exists. In France, it has been recorded on Drosophila confusa. More recently the closely similar S. majewskii has been recognised on Drosophila obscura and Drosophila subobscura so doubt remains over whether this is a truly British species.
