A dark-blue Leptonia with a pellucid-striate and slightly squamulose cap. It is distinguished from the type only by the cap being pellucid-striate and less distinctly squamulose. The toadstool is found among grass and in moss in semi-natural grasslands, meadows and pastures. It is widespread and not uncommon.
