A blackish-blue Leptonia with a pale blue gills lined black along the gill edge. It is found in pastures, meadows, natural grassy vegetation, on heaths, in humus of deciduous woodland, on acid to neutral or base-rich soils. It is widespread and our commonest blue Leptonia.
