Annex
This beautiful species of Entoloma is bright blue when young and fresh but soon fades to bluish steel grey or greyish brown. The toadstool smells and tastes mealy. It is an uncommon but widespread species in Britain, but much rarer in Europe. It is restricted to unimproved grassland usually on calcareous soils.
